Maintaining on the energy efficiency notification obligation

Increased implementation of the energy saving and information obligation has been created by the RVO to support environmental services and the municipality. Enforcement by municipalities and environmental services on the energy efficiency information obligation is a mandatory part of the Environmental Management Act. The municipalities and environmental services are expected to carry out supervision and control. The following responsibilities and tasks lie within the municipalities:

• C. Performing physical and administrative supervision on location.
• D. Administrative enforcement notification obligation.
• E. Assessing reporting notification obligation.
• F. Prepare information-driven supervision.
• G. Supervising well-known simple* companies and institutions.
• H. Conduct supervision of well-known complex* companies and institutions
• X. Making existing external capacity available

For many municipalities, the controls of the energy efficiency notification obligation have started. As a recognized advisor to the RVO, Energy Department is accredited to support municipalities in this.

B1. Administrative supervision notification obligation

Administrative supervision of known companies or institutions. These include identifying missing reports, writing (draft) letters and approaching companies.

C1. Perform physical and administrative supervision on website

Perform on-site monitoring. This also includes making arrangements with the relevant company, following up and updating the collected data.

E1. Assessment of reporting notification obligation

Review and analyze reports from eLoket. If necessary, the company will be contacted by telephone.

F1. Prepare information sent for monitoring

Providing mailing lists on which supervision can take place. The address list will be drawn up according to the wishes of the municipality or environmental service.

G1 & G2. Supervision by simple companies and institutions

Perform and handle energy check ups at simple companies and institutions. It is also possible to provide employees with competent authority or environmental services with 'training on the job’.

H1 & H2. Supervision of complex companies and institutions

Perform and handle energy check ups at complex companies and institutions. It is also possible to provide employees with competent authority or environmental services with 'training on the job’.

X1. Make existing external capacity usable

It is also possible to bring energy saving in a regular check up.
