Large business energy contract?
- Large business energy contract? These calculate their actual consumption monthly afterwards. A big difference with the small consumer who pays a fixed amount monthly in advance.
- The costs of regional network management are not reflected on the invoice from the energy supplier. You must arrange the costs of regional network management yourself. You must therefore conclude an agreement for this yourself with the network operator. This includes the network management model.
- The costs of the national network can be found on the invoice from the energy supplier. The costs for the national network of electricity (TenneT) and gas (GTS) are charged by the supplier. Think of the regional surcharge for gas.
- If the electricity connection is higher than 3×80 Amps and / or the gas connection is higher than 40 m3 per hour. Read more about the connection capacity .

Energy efficiency notification obligation
The Energy efficiency notification obligation is part of the Environmental Management Act. This law has existed since 1993, but has been amended in 2019. Companies and institutions are now obliged to indicate which energy-saving measures they have taken. This must be reported on the website of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Reporting is done with eHerkenning level 1 or higher. The RVO has drawn up Recognised Energy Efficiency Measures List (EML) per sector.
Does this also apply for my company?
Does your company or institution use 50,000 kWh of electricity or 25,000 m3 of natural gas (or an equivalent) or more per year? Then you must comply with the Energy efficiency notification obligation. You should have officially done this before 1 July 2019. Recently, this has been strictly monitored.
